We are well placed for visiting Gaillac and its vineyards, Cordes-sur-Ciel and Cathar Bastide strongholds. The Black Mountains and rocky Sidobre are a short drive away.

We eat well in the south-west, famous for confit of duck, foie gras and cassoulet, the legendary bean and sausage hot pot.
